>> HOW TO MAKE A KEY BOOTABLE USB ?
Important: Before you begin, it shall be ensured that the bios of your motherboard take charge of the boot on a USB Device
First method:
To make a USB drive bootable must first download the following two files:
• The tool that allows HP to format your USB drive: SP27213.exe
• The files that make it possible to boot: HPUSBFW_BOOTFILES.zip
• Once the download is finished, proceed as follows:
• Create a folder named: UsbBoot to the root of your hard drive, for example: C: \\ UsbBoot
• Make a double clicks SP27213.exe to install the software: HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool
• Unzip the archive HPUSBFW_BOOTFILES.zip in (C: \\ UsbBoot)
Formatting the key usb:
• Plug the key to a free USB port on your PC
• Start the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool
• To select your device USB key
• To select FAT file system
• Check the option Create a DOS startup disk
• Check using DOS system file located at: fill in the path or is unzipped files (C: \\ UsbBoot).
• Click start.
• Restart the computer, leaving the key plugged into the USB port.
• Enter the Bios setup to define the key as the first boot device in the boot sequence.
• Verify changes in the BIOS and reboot the computer to test the starter on your key.
Second method:
Winimage: Allows you to create image files of your floppies, and write them on removable media. Download • Winimage
• Plug the key to the USB port
• Launch implementing Winimage
• Insert a floppy boot Windows 98 in the drive.
• Open the Disk menu and then select the Disk Read
• Open the Disk menu, then select the Use Removable X: your USB drive,
• In the Picture menu click the Format Change ...
• In the new tick box Import from current format selected disk, and then click OK,
• In the Disk menu, select Disk Write to begin the process.
• When the dialog Writing Disk closes, it is finished.
• Restart the computer to test the boot on your key.
